We have had all kinds of different acts on stage, from touring dance companies to single acoustic guitar performers, with virtually everything conceivable in between. TV shoots, audio recordings, rehearsals, and performance festivals have all taken place here!
The Yukon Arts Centre is equipped with:
2 large dressing rooms
2 individual dressing/costume rooms
The Studio Theatre can be used as a rehearsal studio or as an intimate small presentation venue with a seating capacity of 40.
The Green Room offers performers a comfortable lounge area with full kitchen facility. It is also ideally suited as a bright, quiet meeting space for small work groups.
The foyer provides a large and bright meeting space for groups of up to 250, with one of the nicest views in town.
We offer coat check by donation for those who wish to store their outdoor coats and accessories securely. Coat check is available an hour prior to the show and for an hour after.
We maintain and run a cash bar and concession during our performances. We also offer pre-ordered intermission drinks which allows patrons to purchase a drink prior to the start of the show and have it ready and waiting for them at intermission. At present, our liquor license only allows the Yukon Arts Centre to sell liquor and our license does not extend to the garden and outdoor terrace. New for the 2015-16 season, patrons are able to bring drinks inside the theatre with re-useable YAC beer and wine tumblers, which are availabe for purchase for only 50 cents!
The Yukon Arts Centre is wheelchair accessible on the main floor only.
