A conversation on the arts

Come join a conversation about the arts with Canada Council for the Arts Director and CEO Simon Brault as part of his tour of northern communities. This meeting will provide members of the artistic community with an opportunity to hear about the Canada Council’s funding approach and recent investments in Yukon directly from Simon Brault and for the artistic community to share some of their successes and challenges. 

Julie Dobbin, program officer for Creating, Knowing and Sharing: The Arts and Cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples, will also be attending the sessions.  She will be available afterwards to answer any questions Indigenous artists and arts organizations may have about the program.

The sessions will be presented in English. Simon and Julie will be able to answer questions in both official languages during each session. A conversation in French can also be organized upon request.
