In his first solo exhibition, Zachary Louie fills the Community Gallery with a series of intricately drawn, delightfully ghostly characters – a Halloween takeover not to be missed.
Zachary Louie is an illustrator/cartoonist from Whitehorse. His subject matter ranges from ghosts to everyday objects, foods and animals. He works with fine tipped pen and markers on paper, often drawing many images on the page, and it is up for the viewer to determine how the sometimes seemingly disparate images are connected. Louie expresses his sense of humor through his art, but he takes it very seriously. He is meticulous in his color choice and the execution of the piece. “I want to do all the colors.”
Presented in partnership with Teegatha’Oh Zheh Art Studio.
