An Art Exhibit by the 1st Yukon Trex Unit
In support of their journey to Our Chalet, Switzerland

The Spirit of Guiding is a celebration of connection, growth, and community. This collection reflects the values at the heart of the Girl Guides — leadership, friendship, resilience, and a shared commitment to making the world a better place.

Through imagery inspired by northern landscapes, guiding symbols, and the colours of each branch — from Sparks to Rangers — the exhibit explores how the Guiding movement shapes identity and belonging across generations. Each piece honours the journey of discovery that Guiding offers: learning by doing, supporting one another, and finding strength in both individuality and unity.
In the North, where community and nature are deeply intertwined, the spirit of Guiding shines especially bright. This work is a tribute to that light — to the mentors who guide, the youth who lead, and the shared promise that continues to inspire adventure, kindness, and courage in every corner of the country.

The Spirit of Guiding was created by members of the 1st Yukon Trex Unit, a group of senior Girl Guides who embrace adventure, leadership, and creativity. Each artwork reflects their connection to Guiding values — friendship, courage, and community — and celebrates the journey of growth within the movement.

This exhibit supports their fundraising efforts to travel to Our Chalet in Switzerland, one of the World Centres of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Through their art, the Trex Unit shares the light and inspiration that define the Spirit of Guiding.
