Please join us for another free Kids Kreate art workshop in our lobby on Sunday, February 2, 1:00-4:00pm. Good for ages 4-11 and we supply all the material.
Artist Helen O’Connor will give a tour of the Jackie Olson and David Curtis exhibits at the start of the workshop, then she will have your kids make a fun and wacky surreal paper art collage. Using a variety of found papers participants can make textural rubbings and found object prints to create unique textural papers.
A collage can be made from an arrangement of these papers in combination with other cut out images glued onto a backing material.
This project draws inspiration from both Jackie Olson’s hand crafted paper art installations and David Curtis’s surreal found object works.
