Harmonizing a Hubcap and a Lightbulb at a Flea Market: a workshop on the impractical practice of the abandoned object in art with Dawson City artist David Curtis on February 22, 1-4 pm.

This hands-on workshop that will explore a variety of ways found objects, both natural and human made, can be integrated into the making of art.

Participants will engage in discussions and practical exercises examining how everyday materials have become part of contemporary art and culture, while exploring ways to integrate found objects into their creative practice.

Open to all skill levels. No prior art making experience required. Participants need only bring an open mind and a handful of curious objects they’d like to work with. Some hand tools, supplies and laughter will be provided.
