Ticketing FAQs

YAC is switching to a new ticketing service.

The Yukon Arts Centre is switching to a new and more modern ticketing service called Spektrix at the beginning of August, 2024. Below are some FAQs to address any concerns or questions you may have. If you have more questions, please email boxoffice@yac.ca.

 What is Spektrix?
 
Spektrix’s market leading box office and theatre ticketing software for arts and cultural organisations is replacing our Theatre Manager (yukontickets.com) system. It will offer a much-improved user experience for our patrons.
 
What happens to my account and password?

So long as you log in with the email you used with Theatre Manager (yukontickets.com), you will automatically have an account in Spektrix. Once you log in to your Spektrix account for the first time, you will be asked to set a new password or you can utilize Spektrix’s passwordless login option, instead. “Usernames” in Spektrix are the email address on file.
 
 Will my personal info be secure?

Spektrix acts as a data processor whereas the clients are the data controllers, meaning they will never alter, manipulate, or otherwise interact with your data. Spektrix is certified, using the most recent standards for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system.
 
Will the new service be easy to navigate?

Based on personal and anecdotal experience, the checkout process for Spektrix is incredibly simple compared to Theatre Manager (yukontickets.com). You can select your seats and continue with your purchase without the need to confirm and re-confirm your selections. Overall, the purchasing procedure will be faster and easier to navigate.
 
Will my gift certificates still be valid?

Yes! All valid gift certificates will be moved over to Spektrix.
 
Do I still book on yukontickets.com?
 
Yukontickets.com will cease to exist at the beginning of August. Go to the official Yukon Arts Centre website at yukonartscentre.com to purchase your tickets. Click on What’s On in the menu bar at top.
 
Will this affect ticket prices?
 
The change will not affect ticket prices.
 
 What changes will happen to my account?

Spektrix’s website integration is typically pretty intuitive and more robust than what patrons were used to with Theatre Manager (yukontickets.com). Your Spektrix account page will offer options such as the ability to indicate your contact preferences, communicate any access needs directly to the Yukon Arts Centre box office, download and print your tickets at home and more.
 
Will the tickets bought through Theatre Manager (yukontickets.com) before the changeover be still valid?
 
Yes. Any purchases at yukontickets.com before the switchover will automatically be added to Spektrix.
