As the Yukon’s Arts Centre, it is our mandate to ensure that the magic of the arts is accessible to all Yukoners, no matter where they live. We recognize that many in our rural communities cannot easily travel to Whitehorse to experience the arts, and it is our responsibility to bring these incredible performances directly to them.
Thanks to the generous support of Northwestel, Power Corporation, and the Azrieli Foundation, we are proud to present The Hanging Sky Tour. Our commitment includes bringing 10 weeks of impactful programming to rural Yukon each year, with a focus on engaging schools and enriching the lives of youth through the arts.
In addition to these educational initiatives, we also aspire to bring professional performances to our rural communities, featuring not only amazing Yukon-based artists but also top talent from outside the territory. Our partnerships with KIAC in Dawson City and Junction Arts and Music in Haines Junction are shining examples of how collaboration makes this possible. We welcome others interested in creating similar opportunities to reach out to us—together, we can continue to bring the magic of the arts to more communities across the Yukon.
We are pleased to partner with the Yukon Arts Centre for the Northwestel Hanging Sky Tour. As a proud and long-time supporter of northern arts and culture, we are excited to help bring this uniquely northern entertainment experience to Yukon communities.
