Local comedian to open for Majumder

Yukon’s Jenny Hamilton will open for comedian Shaun Majumder at the Yukon Arts Centre on November 16.

Hamilton has been entertaining people for decades, the last 10 or more years with a mic in her hand. Performing from Alaska to Australia, she is a crowd favourite of burly miners and grandmas alike, and everyone in-between.

Jenny brings her original and personal comedy to her shows. Growing up and living in the Yukon has given her a different perspective of the world – a facetious, skewed view.

Comedy that is quick, witty and more often than not, down right filthy.

Jenny regularly performs stand-up comedy both nationally and internationally. She has hosted politicians and royals and beer fests alike. She has toured in Adelaide, Australia, with the original comedy show A Grizzly Stole my Bebe! and has hit Toronto by storm with her one-person show, Klondyke: Stand Up Straight from the Yukon. She can also be heard on CBC’s The Debaters.

“Hamilton has an intriguing, powerful stage presence,” says NOW Magazine.

Her new album Kegels Champion will be released on December 1.
