YAC has a mandate as the Yukon’s premier performing and visual arts presenter to be a social, cultural, and economic development force. We intend to be a model for the development of the arts in the North and a stimulus for a vibrant and creative territory. Selections for performing arts are made by the Director of Programming, michele.emslie@yac.ca while visual arts selections are made by our Director of Visual Arts, mary.bradshaw@yac.ca.

YAC has three spaces available to rent, including the main stage, studio theatre at 300 University Drive, and the Old Fire Hall located at 1105 Front Street in downtown Whitehorse.

The Yukon Arts Centre supports artists in a number of ways. Between being a frequent presenter of performing and visual Yukon artists, we also offer multiple residencies, gallery space, and rental spaces for rehearsals and performances. For information on what we offer visual and performing artists click below.

There are many ways to support the Yukon Arts Centre and the work we do! Learn more about our volunteer program by visiting our Get Involved page linked below. If you wish to donate money to the Yukon Arts Centre click donate below.

The Yukon Arts Centre is funded through the dedicated public support by Yukon Government, Government of Canada: Department of Heritage, Canada Council for the Arts, and the City of Whitehorse. We have a proud private community sponsor team including Northwestel, Yukon Brewing, RBC, Air North and Northern Vision Development, and a dedicated local donor community of passionate arts supporters like you. We could not do the work we do without this dedicated support of our country and community.
