The Caribou Art Project, envisioned by Lianne Marie Leda Charlie (Tagé Cho Hudän, Northern Tutchone-speaking people of the Yukon) and co-led with Nic Hyatt, brings together contributions from ten other artists. Featuring 30 life-sized caribou and an immersive soundscape of stories and experiences, the installation invites visitors to walk among the herd. Voices of Elders, sounds of the land, and the presence of these sculptural caribou connect our shared circumpolar landscapes through art, memory, and movement.
