Bring your kids to the Yukon Arts Centre on Sunday, May 29 for our annual Midnight Sun Moppets Children's Festival. There will be loads of fun activities for the whole family inside and outside our building. Hours are 10am-4pm. Tons of free parking!

Activities:

RAIN CITY IMPROV 11-12pm & 3-4pm

Fast paced, hilarious, and highly interactive! Every show features fun, inclusive improv scenes using willing volunteers and a variety of diverse audience suggestions.

TINY ISLAND BRASS TRIO

Three members of this Vancouver-based brass band will entertain the entire family.

TRANSFORMING STICKS

Helen O'Connor will show your kids how to make something fun out of a stick, such as flowers, fishing rods or even a magic wand.

TRIVIA & BUTTON MAKING

Join Parks Canada’s Kluane team for fun trivia and making nature themed buttons! We’ll have all sorts of options to colour in, or you can get creative and design your own!

PRINT MAKING

Join Marie-Hélène Comeau in this lino-cut printmaking workshop.

ART GALLERY TAKEOVER 1-4pm

A special, new multimedia/video installation by Yukon artists Jeremy Parkin and Cole Pauls will be revealed in the main gallery.

GIANT CARDBOARD CASTLE 10-4pm

Your kids will build a giant castle out of cardboard boxes with artist Michel Gignac

ART CRAFT WITH MAYA ROSENBERG 1-3pm

Maya, our Kids Kreate instructor, will have your kids make fabric finger puppets. Ages 4-10.

SUNFLOWER PLANTING 10-4pm

Plant your own sunflower seedling to take home.

TIE DYE WORSKHOP 10-12pm

Create a funky t-shirt with crazy colours. Bring a 100% cotton t-shirt for your tie-dyeing.

MONSTER MAKING & PARADE 10-1pm

Nicole Bauberger will lead a cardboard monster making workshop followed by a parade of the creatures with Tiny Islands Trio.

CAKE AND COOKIES

We will have tons of cake to celebrate our anniversary along with cookies and healthy snacks.
