Katie Avery (violin) and Ellen Thompson (piano). Short, tuneful pieces from different times and places. Classical music is for everyone!

Katie Avery started teaching Suzuki method in Whitehorse in 2012. Since moving here she has become very involved in the arts community, playing with many classical and folk groups and even dabbling in a bit of theater from time to time. She holds a Bachelor Degree of Music Education from the University of Toronto and is fresh from summer training at the Orchestra North Academy Program in Smithers BC.

Ellen Thompson was born and raised in the Yukon and has playing piano since the age of 4. She holds her ARCT in piano performance under the instruction of Joyce and Henry Klassen. Ellen has been teaching in her studio for 7 years which currently has 65 students. She is the stage manager for Whitehorse Concerts and is excited to take part in the Gallery Series.
