Sponsorship Program

As a publicly funded non-profit organization with finite resources, we simply could not deliver rich, varied, sustainable and long lasting programming for the benefit of all Yukoners without the support of the business community. From theatre presentations and gallery exhibitions to art education and appreciation programmes, we offer a broad range of sponsorship opportunities for all budgets, with attractive recognition packages to match.

Partnering with the Yukon Arts Centre gives businesses the advantage of an exceptionally high profile that is paired with an outstanding approval rating at the community level. Annual attendance to YAC events exceeds the population of the Yukon. Needless to say, we get strong dedicated audiences.

Donate to the Yukon Arts Centre

Your donation supports the Yukon Arts Centre's important cultural work, while leaving a lasting legacy for your community. We are a Registered Charity and your donation is fully tax receiptable.

Annual gifts are essential to the growth of our programs especially in the areas of arts education and artist development. Donations enable artists coming to the Yukon Arts Centre to work with students and professionals in the community, provide the means for local artists to hone their skills and teach, support the growth of our Permanent Art Collection, and much more.

Planned gifts or bequests are another excellent way to strengthen the Yukon's cultural fabric by ensuring a positive and vital future for the Yukon Arts Centre.

Name plaques on theatre seats are a very effective means of contributing to the Yukon Arts Centre performance programme while receiving visible recognition.

The Yukon Arts Centre depends largely on volunteers for its successful operation. We need some of your time so that we may continue to offer great shows and exhibitions to the community.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to make new friends, see the shows, learn something along the way and have a good time. Our volunteer voucher plan lets you and your friends see shows for free when you're not on duty.

  • Front of House Teams take care of the audience. They welcome people, check coats, and assist people during the performance. FOH volunteers are the hosts for the Yukon Arts Centre.

  • Security volunteers ensure the safety of our audience and protect the building.
  • Box Office volunteers help with the business end of front of house management. They get people into their seats as smoothly as possible.
  • Bar and Concession volunteers serve food and beverages to customers.
  • Art Gallery Monitors keep the gallery open. Without them, it would be difficult to open the gallery during performance evenings and on the weekend. These volunteers help viewers enjoy exhibitions and protect the artwork.
  • Tech Crew volunteers run the theatre. These volunteers take up positions as stage managers, production crew, lighting technicians and sound technicians. They work directly with visiting artists and production staff.
  • The Yukon Arts Centre is also always looking for gallery and art education volunteers and will welcome any specific skill you might be able to contribute.
