Youth Education

Kids practice their observation and visual literacy skills with artist Nicole Bauberger during our Kids Kreate workshop on landscape painting inspired by Neil Graham’s exhibition Shaping Haida Gwaii. September 13, 2015.

The Yukon Arts Centre brings learning to life by deepening young people’s understanding of their environment, history, and culture thus impacting their own personal development. We aim to nurture the next generation of artists by introducing tools to foster visual literacy, encouraging students to find pleasure and meaning in art and to think critically about the array of visual images that surround them. Our youth education programming is proudly presented by ATCO Electric Yukon.
