In this five-week course, participants will learn how to make a pair of moccasins from start to finish.

Between beading, sewing with hide, and adding the finishing fur touches, instructor Shelby Blackjack will lead particiapants through the traditional process of making moccasins in the Northern Tuchone style.


Open to beginners and intermeditate participants, but a working knowledge of sewing is suggested.

Participants will have the option of using commerical tanned moose hide, or a combination of commerical and home tanned mose hides.
All supplies include beads and needles will be provided.

Classes will run 5:00-8:00pm, in the Yukon Arts Centre Green Room.
