Whitehorse Concerts will conclude our Gallery Recital Series with members of the Yukon Registered Music Teachers Association as well as local string quartet: My Fabulous String Quartet.


The Yukon Registered Music Teachers Association will perform Noriko Ishikawa’s arrangement of Modest Mussorsgky’s ‘ Pictures at an Exhibition. Ishakawa has arranged this version for 12 hands (two pianos) and percussion. The YRMTA members have ample experience in performing both individually and as a collective. The association has organized many such performances working together to accomplish a fine performance.

My Fabulous String Quartet was dreamed of for decades by long-time Whitehorse violist, choral conductor, and music educator Rachel Grantham, Joined by violinists Charles Turanich-Noyen and Katie Avery with cellist Pam Sinclair, MFSQ will perform String Quartet Op. 64, no. 5 in D major, "The Lark" by Joseph Haydn and Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel.
