Whitehorse Community Choir, the Persephone Singers, the Chamber Choir and Sylie Painchaud present Songscapes - an homage to the Yukon, The photography of Marten Berkman will form a visual landscape.
To commemorate Canada's 150 birthday, 'Songscapes of the Yukon' was born -- the lovechild of many talented Yukon and northern songwriters/lyricists and the Whitehorse Community Choir.
In this concert we celebrate our home, what makes our territory unique and what makes our hearts sing -- the Yukon! You will hear an eclectic offering of songs, some that are blasts from the past, some that are contemporary, and everything in-between.
We will be joined by guest singer, Sylvie Painchaud with her song, Annie Lake Road.
The magnificent photography of Marten Berkman will form a visual landscape behind the choir.
So kick off your hiking boots, take a break from watching the returning swans and crocuses, and spend the evening with us as we wander together through our wild and wonderful, ‘Songscapes of the Yukon’.
