Artist Statement
My name is Maya Rosenberg and art has always been a significant part of my life. My main mediums nowadays are acrylics and watercolours. Nature and especially the beautiful landscapes of Canada are a huge source of inspiration for me, and I try to bring through art the peaceful, relaxing and recharging qualities it has.
Art is an international language, and no matter which country I was living at, it has always been a great way to express myself, communicate, and engage in wonderful communities. It can translate clearly and visualize different states of mind such as quite, meditation, excitement and inspiration. The way I see it, art has a main part in our society when it can bridge above culture differences through sharing a passion for a visual language. For me art is a breath, a way of communication and the heart of life.

Artist Biography
Born and raised in Israel, I arrived at Canada in 2011 and since then lived and traveled in many places in BC, Alberta and Quebec. I was accepted to SVA the School of visual arts in New York at the Fine Arts bachelors honors program. I was also lucky to be a part of some inspiring art communities such as the international circus project in Brooklyn called "The Muse". It was interesting to see how my visual art could combine with the acrobatic and musical arts of the circus, exposing me to a new way of using art in different places.  Currently I am living in Whitehorse, Yukon, and am a member of the Yukon Arts Society. I exhibited some art as a part of the "Christmas Underground" 2014 exhibition which took place at Arts Underground at the Focus and Edge galleries.
