The Yukon Arts Centre invites Yukon artists and arts professionals to a catered lunchtime performance and workshop with Against the Grain Theatre.

The Vancouver based opera company has been called “The future of opera’, by the General Director of the Canadian Opera Company, Alexander Neef. With a mandate to present classical music in new and innovative ways, Against the Grain has made headlines for their genre-bending Opera Pub series. Harnessing that innovative and contemporary opera spirit, Against The Grain brings the all new show “Life, Love, and Drinking Alone” to the Old Fire Hall.

This Learn and Lunch will combine a free preview of the “Life, Love, and Drinking Alone” performance, followed by an artist talk and question period discussing the show itself, and how Against the Grain theatre is working to make opera relevant to new audiences.
