Digital Marketing Coordinator
Sept 18, 2017 – March 16, 2018 (26 weeks)

Full Time - $19.12/ hour (plus $0.72/ hour for health benefits)

The internship will offer a 26 week opportunity in event marketing and audience development at the Yukon Arts Centre, in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. With 3 galleries, a mainstage theatre, and multiple satellite venues across the Yukon, this is an opportunity to work with the marketing and development strategy behind a dynamic season of visual and performing arts in Canada’s North. The successful candidate will be responsible for web and social media maintenance, e-mail marketing strategy development and implementation, patron research, content development, copy-writing, and assisting the Marketing & Development Director with day to day tasks.

In this position, the successful candidate will learn budget and marketing strategy in a unique Canadian market. Further, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to focus their personal skill-building in the subject of their choice (ie. graphic design, video editing).
This position requires an energetic induvial with strong communication and writing skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will possess a passion for the arts, with knowledge in Canadian visual art, theatre, or film.  Knowledge of Canadian Indigenous arts & culture is an asset.

Must possess strong knowledge in: Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and Social Media Scheduling Software.

Requirements: This position is funded through Young Canada Works and the Canadian Museums Association which states that students must be recent graduate who has graduated from college or university within the last 24 months at the start of employment; are between 16 and 30 years of age; legally entitled to work in Canada; and not be working 30 hours or more at another job.
